The thing is, this article isn't realistic about design. They are fine with having more features, more options, more things to do... but Gizmodo makes it sound like they also want a single button to do it with, or the device is bloated. That's not realistic, and I don't even think it's true that people are bothered by it. This article is trying to create a scenario of "here's a problem, and we know the solution" when, in fact, their solution is that the iPod is supposed to be psychic.
