I use digg as a social bookmarking tool. I find articles that are interesting, from just the title and short blurb, digg them to "bookmark" them, and go back to read them later. Hell, sometimes I never go back to read the stories. And sometimes, I'll search my diggs to find something that I dugg 2 years ago. For me, that is the purpose of digg.
