Policy Statement

These are the basic policies of the PLACe Music Academy regarding those who are enrolled in classes or lessons:

  1. There are no make-ups, refunds, or credits given for missed classes or lessons.

  2. If you will be unable to attend a class or lesson for any reason, please notify the PLACe Music Academy and/or your instructor. Whenever possible, 24-hour notice is appreciated.

  3. All classes and fees are subject to minimum enrollment. Cancellation or higher fees may be necessary if class size is too small. Enrolled students will be notified of any changes to fees or scheduling before the first class time or before the next class in the case of mid-semester changes. Refunds will be given for any class cancelled due to insufficient participation.

  4. Teachers are not required to wait more than 15 minutes for students who are late for their lesson times. If you are late by 15 minutes or more, your instructor may not be there to teach.

  5. Tuition is due and payable in full before the first class or lesson. [An Optional Payment Plan is available]. Classes or lessons may be suspended until payment, including any late fees, or appropriate arrangements have been made.

  6. Tuition and/or deposits are nonrefundable except when class is cancelled by the PLACe Music Academy.

  7. The information contained on this website, including but not limited to tuition and class times, is subject to change without notice.

Privacy

The PLACe has created this privacy policy because we respect our customers and want to make sure that personal information is handled responsibly.

We may collect:

  • Your name, address, phone number, email, when you register.
  • Your credit card number if used for payment.

How do we use your information?

  • The information collected from you is used only for the purposes of registration, payment, scheduling of lessons, and other important communication between you and the PLACe.
  • Your teacher or other PLACe staff may call you to inform you of changes in schedule, teacher illness, upcoming events, etc.
  • You may receive emails and/or mailings regarding upcoming events, payment reminders, or other important communication.
  • Your credit card number is used only for registration and payment purposes. It is not kept on file.
  • Your teacher and PLACe administrative staff are the only ones with access to your information. Personal information is never sold or shared with any one else for any reason.
